Candle in The Wind
1973 – Marilyn Monroe version
Note: This video presents a collage of Marilyn Monroe photographs,
and film clips spanning her lifetime and film career. It is set to a concert
version of Elton John’s 1973 tribute song to her, “Candle in The Wind.”
Some regard John’s studio version of this song as the original and better
version of the Marilyn Monroe tribute.
Among some of the films Monroe did during her career were: All About
Eve (1950), The Asphalt Jungle (1950), Don’t Bother To Knock (1952),
Monkey Business (1952), Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953), How to
Marry a Millionaire (1953), Niagara (1953), There’s No Business Like
Show Business (1954), River of No Return (1954), The Seven Year
Itch (1955), Bus Stop (1956), Some Like It Hot (1959), Let’s Make Love
(1960), The Misfits (1961), and Something’s Gotta Give (1962).
